Politecnico di Milano is a scientific-technological university which trains engineers, architects and industrial designers. The University has always focused on the quality and innovation of its teaching and research, developing a fruitful relationship with business and productive world by means of experimental research and technological transfer.
At the same time Politecnico di Milano, in line with various international experiences, sets out to keep the university abreast of the dynamics of change in society, extending the university’s mission to include social issues and needs that arise from the territory, both locally and globally. Since 2012 Politecnico di Milano in collaboration with the Fondazione Politecnico di Milano lauched Polisocial, an academic social responsibility programme that inaugurates a new way of building and applying knowledge and academic excellence, placing social commitment alongside the two traditional pillars of academic activity: teaching and research.
