Mott Community College’s Graphic Design program has a long tradition of creating service learning experiences and creating social change through their projects in various graphic design courses. Students come from a wide range of social and economic backgrounds, and through their studies they build a balance of creative and technical skills and a strong understanding of the role that graphic design can play in building their community. After completing an Associates degree at Mott, the majority of students continue on towards completion of a four-year degree in visual communications or a related field. Since most of Mott’s students have deep roots in Michigan, they choose to remain in the region using their design skills and talents towards igniting positive change in their community.
