At the Corcoran College of Art + Design students combine their education in design with extensive cultural and professional resources in Washington, D.C. The BFA Design Department is comprised of three majors: Graphic Design, Digital Media Design, and Interior Design.

The BFA Graphic Design curriculum focuses on brand programs, mobile APPS, interactive design, typography, publication design, packaging design, environmental design, theory, and motion design. The Digital Media Design curriculum focuses on storytelling, theory, animation, 3D modeling, motion graphics, character design, live action production, and video production. The Interior Design curriculum focuses on interior space planning and design, interior architecture, and sustainability issues.

BFA Design students intern at studios, museums, and non-profit organizations. With the large wealth of DC non-profit organizations, design students are encouraged to work on projects that promote social change and public service-individually, in small groups, or in partnerships with other organizations.
