  • Monitor
    Students have the opportunity to explore the various aspects of Media Arts at Foothill High School, including using industry standard software and equipment. Adobe, Corel, Autodesk, Wacom, etc.
  • Cteban
    Career and Technical Education Promotional Banners. The students worked in teams,researched the CTE classes offered here, developed a design and the winning concept was printed. Each banner 6 x 3. Final size 6 feet x 30 feet.
  • Mix09
    Mix09 - 2009 Mircosoft Convention in Las Vegas. Students who participated in the Microsoft Bliink Web Design Challenge where guests at the convention. The theme for the challenge was "I imagine my future..."
  • Rawr
    R.A.W.R. 18 Hour Animation Contest Winners. During this time period the two member team storyboard an idea, model all the components, and animated the project according to the given theme. Students used 3dsMax for their project.
  • Evil_bunnies_poster
    Attack of the Evil Bunnies Video Game Poster Design. Students used Dark Basic Pro to develop a "smart" game to teach Science concepts a fun way to junior high students. The team placed third in a national contest sponsored by ISupportLearning.

Foothill High School is a four-year secondary school in the Clark County School District. FHS is located in the city of Henderson, Nevada.

Students attending Foothill High School have the opportunity to take a series of class the area of Media Arts. Some of these classes include: Commercial Art, Graphic Design I, Graphic Design II, Web Design, Photography and 3D Animation are the classes that can lead a student to earning college credit and certifications when successfully completed.

Our students have produced, competed, and been recognized for their outstanding work by various local and national oganizations/companies including Microsoft, I Support Learning, Google, SkillsUSA, Art Institute Las Vegas, and the 2010 Association for Career and Technical Education Expo. They have also been published or featured in various newpapers and publications, including KeyFrame Magazine, a national animation publication.

We are excited that our students will be given the opportunity this year to participate in taking the Adobe Certified Associate Certification in Visual Communications this spring.

The Graphic Design II students are looking forward to participating in the Create! Don’t Hate program with local artist and businesses.
